'39 Ford Deluxe Hood does not close completely

deuce_roadster Thank you. You have shed light where it needed to be shed! Knowing what is behind there and knowing I will not have to put a wrench on it builds my confidence level up to a point where I now think I will give it a shot. I will get an assistant to help as I am only 18 years...

'39 Ford Deluxe Hood does not close completely

19Fordy Yes! Bought them from Joe's Antique awhile back. Just have not installed them yet. Don't feel confident that I can reach the hidden bolt head on the hood where it is attached to the hood and also the bolt head on the inside of the cowl. Maybe I don't need to reach them for...

Remove Gauge Cluster from Dashboard on '39 Convertible

I want to remove this gauge cluster from the dash board in order to install Runtz Resisters since I have 12 volt installed rather than 6 volt and my gauges do not work except for Temp gauge which is a mercury filled thermometer. Any help or advice will be appreciated. Thanks!

Need procedure to follow for start up after 3-4 yr.nap

This is what I would do EXCEPT I would use some MARINE gas with oil mixed in from my two stroke outboard engine and pour that down the carb. VGG trick that Derek uses on cars sitting for umpteen years. Slainte

Changing from Positive Ground to Negative Ground on 1939 Ford

nelsb01 Anyone doing this, is doing it at their own risk and peril. You are absolutely correct that "sparks" will fly when I polarize the generator by touching the VR's "F" Field wire to the "B" post on the VR. That is how the Ginny gets polarized. Or re-polarized is maybe the correct term...
