    Need a referrence

One thing they don't tell you, is if you use F1 shock mounts in the manner described in the book, and decide to put your headlights on the same mount, is that they will bounce around so much that you'll have a hard time seeing where your going. Just speaking from experience. But it looks really...

Did some research on this car and it topped 250 mph in 1952( with only two flatheads), and was retired in 1957 when it reached a top speed of 270 mph.

    Ford or Mercury Engine?

There is a 47 Merc truck here, I looked at it close and it appears to have a Ford engine. Of course it could have been changed. On another note, I've sen a lot of Merc engines in heavy duty trucks and cab overs

    lower radiator hose

Got a part number for those? The Carquest ones I have work good, but make sure your belt is tight, mine got a little loose and the slop was just enough to start cutting into the bottom hose. Not a problem if belt is adjusted properly. I'm just wondering if the NAPA ones have more offset.

Swap Meet, Alameda, CA October 24th

Man, I sure do miss going to swap meets. There aren't any here, and not enough old Ford folks to have one. And I just can't see spending $$$$ in air fare just to go to one. I love seeing the pictures in the magazines of swap meets. I wish someone would post some here on the Barn. Maybe a swap...

    lower radiator hose

Carquest 21236 radiator hose, it is a moulded hose, and it has a spot in it that has the right jog. Just cut off the part you need. Worked great for my AV8.

    Painting cast head

Another good option for plug holes are silicone plugs, they are inexpensive and reusable.. Available at powder coating supply houses( such as Eastwood ). I have a whole kit that works well for all types of painting.

    A-V8 steering caster

37-41 bones will work just fine for an AV8. I have them on mine. Welded seam to the top mines set at 6.6 degrees caster. Model a crossmember in a 32 frame. I canted it back a few degrees before welding it in.
