Tom, best wishes for a speedy recovery. I had a double bypass 16 months ago and did great. I was told not to drive for 2 months but 1 month after surgery I had to drive A to swap meet, it was just 2 miles away but I felt like I could have driven 50 miles with no problem.

I had the same problem with my 1929 Special Coupe. I did the same as JtownJoe. I bought my cover from Wheelskins in black for $59.00. This cover laces to the inside , looks very good and is very comfortable, also solves staining.

It is cheaper to replace smaller glass on one side than whole windshield. UPS and large trucks have done this for years.

I laced a black leather cover on mine, not the wrap around junk from Walmart but a good leather cover that laces to the inside. It was not cheap but looks good, feels good and keeps everything clean.

I put a pencil filter in my fuel shut off valve that is in bottom of fuel tank. I tried the filters in line and in fuel bowl but with gravity feed they would not work. I also put large magnets on bottom of tank away from fuel valve.
