    1941 column shift-need shift knob

No knob on it, but the shift lever isn't threaded. It has about an inch of serrations for a push-on knob.

    1941 column shift-need shift knob

    I've got a 41 rolling chassis sitting out back. I'll go have a look-see.

    Float a motors

Is there a place to get replacement rubber? My car is missing the one at the trans.

If it was here in Texas he'd have already sold it.

Front seat springs for 41 Tudor

I happen to have a 41 Tudor seat that's got decent springs, but you're a long way from Texas.

    Chickashay

Is it worth the trip? Anyone know about how many vendors are usually there?

    help on overhaul failure

That sentence right there says a lot about your engine builder. As a former 2-stroke motorcycle racer who has seen a few seized cylinders, I can tell you that a piston seizure will not score the cylinder all around. The piston "welds" itself to the spot where the oil film is rubbed off (or...

    Float-A-Motor mounts

I think my car may be missing this part. It has FAM mount at bellhousing and stock front mount.

    Steel wheels

Seems to be lots of confusion on this subject. Jim Brierley is correct. The necessary flat spacer is about .125" thick, and goes over the studs to leave a flat area for the back of the solid wheel to sit against. I may have a source for them if you need a set.

    41 coupe exhaust

Duals would probably have to follow the path of the OG exhaust, then run the driver's side pipe back across the car somewhere near the rear crossmember or under the center of the X-member if you want them to exit on both sides. There's not really any room for a pipe to run along the driver's...

    41 coupe exhaust

I don't have pictures, and don't have a smartphone, but I have a 41 rolling chassis handy. The stock routing is from left side under oil pan, joining right side, and down the passenger side of the car. There's also a heat shield on the right side near the front of the engine.

    41 Ford gas tank installation

I just crawled under the 41 I am parting out to have a look. It's the same as bigdoor described. The bolts at the back are drilled and safety-wired.

    15w-40

FYI: Zinc levels in Rotella T have been reduced below the ~1200 ppm level that's supposed to keep flat-tappet cams alive. SOMEWHERE I've saved a web page that shows the zddp levels of most major brands of oil. Believe it or not, the Traveller brand from Tractor Supply tested as one of the best.

    Cracked heads

Must be. Buying a new head seems to be less of a gamble than a used one. I'm thinking I may end up with one of the new Winfield repro's that we've been seeing updates about. Out of four stock heads I've got, all of them are cracked. Only one (on a diamond block) has obvious freeze damage and is...

    Cracked heads

Are ALL the heads for Model A's cracked? Seems like every one I find has cracks somewhere.
