Can anyone provide the length of Ford Model T connecting rods, center to center?
This would be important in building a fixture to assure equal babbit thickness in the big end bearing. I have a factory service manual but cannot find that data mentioned.
Your help is appreciated, thanks...
Red, thanks for the reply. It appears to be bent on the wheel side of the axle shaft bearing, Just about in the area at the fat end of the taper. The housing is straight and true.
I am suspecting a bent rear axle on one side. The wheel on the left has about a 5/8" wobble going down the road. Switched wheels from right to left, still runout on left side. Has anyone ever attempted to straighten an axle in the car? Doesn't seem Kosher to me, just curious.
Re: Bent rear axle -'25 T Coupe
Looks like I may have a bent axle shaft. The rear wheel has a 5/8" wobble underway. I tried switching wheels from the other side and the runout persists. My question is. Has anyone ever straightened an axle without removing the rear end and changing it? Like...
Hello, I'm sure you all have been through this at one time?
Is there an easy way to peel shims off without messing up the whole pack?
Thanks a bunch...
Does anyone know the size of the terminal studs and their thread sizes? I believe there are two sizes on each coil, point mounting and vibrater adjustment. The closes that comes to fitting hardware mounting is a #10-44 tip.
Thanks
