Thanks Charlie
that,s exactly what it is. When I bought the car the mirror was missing but the mount with the ball stud was there. I bought a complete replacement not knowing I had the needed part to just replace just the mirror
If you are near a Les Schwab tire store check out their powder coat color choices. I had mine done in the yellow color and it looks just like the original color that was on the wheels when I bought the car. They bead blasted and powder coated for $30 a wheel and they look fantastic
Sssssteamer is correct. I would add if you run a year of manufacture plate it must be the correct color for that year. (Don't laugh) i've got a friend that painted his the color of his car, so far he's got away with it.
Just had mine done at Les Schwab, media blasted & powder coated $30.50 each plus tax. They look great. Took 7 days. no mess to clean up, no cleaning products or paint to buy.
My 31 has the borg warner overdrive with the governor bypassed by a switch on the shifter. A kill switch is tapped into the transmission top behind the low/reverse shaft thereby deactivating the solenoid when shifting into reverse
Straight down is off
1 click clockwise is park
back to center and 1 click counter clockwise is low beam
1 more counter clockwise is high beam
That is how my 31 is wired
my harness is without cowl lights so I used them for turn signals
I have optima batteries in both my 41 plymouth and my 98 corvette and I use the float chargers from harborfreight and have for about 10 years on the plymouth with the same battery. They seem to prolong the life of the battery
There's a 1927 Erskine for sale at www.memorylaneclassiccars.com in Portland Or. you might like to look at just for kicks. I bought my 31 tudor from them 4 months ago

I use a ultrasonic cleaner from harborfreight with simple green 1/2 and distilled water 1/2 for all my small parts including carburetors. Can't say how it would do without the sonic cleaner but it's cheap stuff and harmless to the environment.
Is your car still 6 volt? is the turn signal kit the same voltage as the car? If not the flasher is wrong voltage. So is the light indicator in the turn signal unit. Are the rear lights mounted to steel fenders?. I checked Brattons online and I don't see a 6 volt turn signal kit but that...
a picture of the wiring diagram would be a big help in determining what your problem is. if the white wire is meant to go to the brake switch it must go on the cold side. that cold side wire you disconnected goes to the left stop light wire coming out of the turn signal switch. what are you...
