    Cork valve cover gasket

Oh man i tried an inch wrench and 20inch lbs (wrenches minimum) i could see was gonna ve too much. I just snugged them down and watched the gasket and made sure they were about the same feel. Id have to guess it was closer to 15 in lbs. Reason i was in there is my A has always had a pretty...

    Cork valve cover gasket

Awesome, i do the same thing for chevy valve covers with rtv on the cover side and grease on the engine side. Just wasnt sure about this being verticle and low on the engine. Any torque specs or should i just give em a good snug like a 350 too?

Model A Gas Tank Refill Protection Pad

The attendants pump it here in Oregon but if you have an expensive motorcycle or classic car they get you started and you can pump it yourself. If i'm filling my 68 or 69 impala up all the way I always do it myself because they ALWAYS spew gas everywhere, like 4 feet out and 4 feet wide spray...

I just did it the other day with bout 2.5 gallons of vinegar. the inside was filled with disgusting rust colored slime. almost like grease. i put it in ran it for an hour and flushed the hell out of it. the reason i did it was the temp guage wasn't functioning at all, I removed it altogether...

    Crap gas indicator

the places here that sell non ethanol only have 2 choices. regular ethanol added 87 or non ethanol 92. I live on the coast, they use it mostly for boats. the 2 pumps are separate and clearly labeled.

    Battery Cable Gage

not sure exactly but I found the hard way 6v systems require much larger cable than 12, i tried to replace the negative (positive ground car) on my 49 plymouth with a typical starter to battery cable from the parts store. I didn't make it 20ft before it lit a fire in the engine compartment which...

    Got Gramps a 31 Coupe

so we got a zenith 1 from one of the members of the local A club, i tried it right away and it fell on its face if i gave it throttle which i was told it did. I tore it down and soaked it in carb cleaner besides the valve under the fuel adjustment needle which had to be drilled out and luckily...
