That coupe is certainly not “store bought” when looking at the construction details underneath. Aside from that a quarter million dollars buys a lot of beer and pizza!

Those overdrives work great, I ran them in a couple of vehicles. Using a toggle switch to operate the relay instead of the throttle kickdown makes them more useful. I used second gear overdrive quite often. Never had a problem with it.

After a couple of days with acetone the gauge would pass the red fluid and go up a ways with the “tap, tap, tap and hold” test. But doesn’t seem to register much in the car. At least I still have my trusty measuring stick.

The old dried fluid in my ‘34 gas gauge has not dissolved using alcohol, lacquer thinner, or chlorex mixture so far. Now trying acetone. Any ideas what may work are appreciated.

Last year I ordered headers from them. It did take a while but they showed up.

Customer contact does not seem like a priority for them. I ordered on line last year and the headers did show up in a couple of months.

Make a driveshaft with a smaller tube size.

After posting on this thread I took a look and compared both styles and thought the incandescent bulbs, with the housings painted flat white, look brighter on the brake lights.

The main advantage I found with LEDs is fewer amps draw, especially with brake lights. They are not always brighter. It depends on the color and density of the lens.

There was some comments during that auction- it was offered twice - about the “complete, body off”, restoration. Sure did not look like one after looking at the engine compartment, undercarriage and in process photos, to me. Really more a body shop restoration with a new interior. I like ‘41...

I did get the headers after two months. No response to email or phone messages though. Nice product, although we had to modify the driver side as it interfered with the frame.
