Did all the fuel gauges from 1936 to 1953 have the same ohms resistance? If so, what was it? Is there a source where the information can be obtained?

Does anyone know what source I can use to determine the ohms resistance of '35 - '53 fuel gauges? I would also like to know if all years have the same resistance or if it differs by certain years. Any help would be appreciated.
