I have a 1957 - 292 two barrel with a problem.
Car starts and idles fine but once it warms up it stalls when I attempt to accelerate. Sometimes it stalls when I am not on the gas peddle. Once it stalls it will not restart immediately. If it sits for about ten minutes then it starts up again...
I just purchased a 1949 Ford Convertible. The side rails are sagging in the middle which will not allow the windows to be fully closed.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I have a 1939 Ford and the brake lights are not working.
Took it for it's first ride this year and when I returned I noticed that the brake lights were on and would not turn off.
Crawled under the car and found one of the wires to the switch was off.
Reattached the wire and the lights went out...
I have a 1939 Standard Ford Coupe with stock wheels.

I would appreciate any comments from those who have...
Well I finally got the car going again yesterday.
Thanks to everyone for their input.
A special thanks to my friend Ted who was a big help on this issue.
It does not appear that it was a single problem but a combination of little issues.
To recap - the car had been running last summer and...
Hey thanks for the advise.
Bruce Lancastor your instructions were very helpful.
Have the distributor off now and will be taking it to a friend to see where the problem is next week.
Appreciate all the advise.
Will report results after distributor is reinstalled
Thanks again for all of the feedback.
I have attached a picture of the rebuild tag dated May 22 1947 as well as the distributor less the condenser I am waiting for.
As far as I know this is an original car. The HP is 85 ( my error.) The previous owner is deceased. The executor whom I purchased...
Thanks for all the info
When I took off the side panel off the fender I could see the screw that holds the condenser onto the distributor.
Bought the wrong condenser while in Hershey so have ordered another one from Mac's.
Hopefully that solves my problem.
Hi All
I am a new owner of a 1939 standard coupe with 90 HP flathead v8.
The car was running but recently I can not get it to fire. There is power at the coil and at the end of the coil wire that connects to the distributor but no spark at the plugs.
There is a voltage variation at the coil...
