    Cool auction

Looks like a few people are jumping to conclusions. Looking at the pictures leads me to believe the guy did sell parts. Why else would there be stacks of bare frames? It could be that because of this "hoarder" that many Model A's are still in service. There are some good cars in that auction...

windshield 1971 Triono GT Fast Back

Without looking at an interchange manual I'd think any '70 or '71 Torino, Fairlane, Ranchero, or a 70 1/2 Falcon windshield should fit. Also the Mercury counterpart for the Torino for those years. Have someone with a Hollander Interchange manual look it up for you.

    Rocker Arm Assemblies I.D.

Definitely NOT 240/300. They didn't use shaft rockers.

    swap meets are fun?

Racers swap meets are the worst. Price your stuff a 7 to 10 cents on the dollar and it might sell. My son and I sold auto lit for several years. Some guys were great.....They'd inquire about manuals for a certain car or cars, politely ask for a discount, pay up, say thanks. Then there were the...

    67 Mustang door

Sometimes worn hinges can make a door hard to open. Try lifting up and push in on the handle as you push the button on the handle, then pull the door open.

Ford truck 8 foot long bed

Also used on long wheel base F100's. Not nearly as common (or popular) as the short beds.

    Small block heads

I figured the 2 sets of '68 or the '89 302 heads I have weren't going to be what I need. Still kind of curious about the '84 351HO heads. I'll probably see if I can talk my buddy into parting with the hi-po heads. What's the book with the info on SBF? Thanks! Pops

    Small block heads

I'm starting to accumulate parts for an upcoming project.....68 XL. I want to build a 302 or 351W with good performance, but want to keep it streetable. I'd like to build a 351 but budget may dictate a 302 since I already have a few laying around. What heads would work the best? I've got a...

    1969 f100 360 v-8 starter

Ford starter drives (commonly referred to as bendix) from that era were notorious for going bad. You don't need to replace the starter, just replace the bendix. It's an easy repair.

How Many Have Had Buyer's Remorse?

About ten years ago my wife needed a car. She wanted a late model Monte Carlo. That wasn't going to happen! What she needed was an Expedition. We compromised and bought a low mileage '98 Continental. I've often regretted buying that thing. Like every time it needed to be repaired, which was...
