Glass dealer in the NJ/PA/Downstate NY Area

Hi all, The restoration of my Business Coupe continues and it's time for glass. After reaching out to Bratton's today, I learned that most (all?) of the parts dealers don't carry glass any longer. I'm suddenly on the hunt for a glass dealer in the NYC tri-state area. Does anyone have any...

Anyone running Shock Absorbers from Snyder's?

I just bought a set from Brattons, getting ready to install. Were the original shocks painted? If so, painted black? Thanks !

    Different front spindles?

Pictures added. First two are of the spindle in question without the dust ring and inner bearing. Third one has the ring and bearing in place to show the gap between the side of the spindle and the bearing. Thanks all very much for your help! Steve, does Bert's sell used spindles? I...

    Different front spindles?

Thanks! I was thinking the same but all good with the seal. Seems to be ok which is why I’m wondering about the spindle itself.

    Different front spindles?

Hi folks, Looking for your insight. I'm restoring an old 1929 Business Coupe and I took it for a test drive this week. The front passenger side wheel has a slight wobble. After a lot of checking, I've discovered that the "bad" spindle is 1/4-inch shorter than the other, and the inner bearing...

Thanks Brian. I was thinking same based on the reading I was doing. I'll leave it out. Thanks for the insight.

    Sector Shaft Bushings don't match

Hi folks, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope all had a great holiday. I've started a rebuild of the 7-tooth steering column on my 1929 and the rebuild kit came with two sector shaft bushings that look different from the ones that were in the sector shaft housing. I checked on each parts suppliers'...

    Original headlights?

Hi again all, Thanks for your continued help. My restoration on a '29 54-A continues, and it's running! I took a look at the old headlights today and they don't seem right. They seem "deeper" than the pictures of other '29 headlights I've seen and there's no hole for an adjusting screw in...

Starter hang up with modern bendix?

Hi folks, Thanks for your help. Jumper cables didn't work, but running the negative and positive leads directly to the starter worked! Thanks very much for your help. Pat

Starter hang up with modern bendix?

Thanks Marshall. I checked and the bevel is facing the back. Wondering if the starter itself isn't strong enough to turn the engine. Anyone have a good way to check the torque generated by the starter?
