Looking for close up picture of 31 roadsterwiper arm to motor

Marco, you mention you had: "a combination of pics taken...", I don't see them posted. Do you still have them to post? Thanks.

    Wasco flathead timing tool

In 2015 I received a 1948 Monarch 4-door Sedan to keep company with my 1928 Model 'A' Ford Tudor. During my trips through various flea markets, I acquired the timing jig, along with a photocopy of the Bulletin No. B-54, (Jan 31, 1944) directions. I've included a picture, of the bottom interior...

    RH brake light mounting template

Measuring the top of the left rear TL, to the floor, then transferring that to the right side, as H.L. Chauvin has mentioned has a possible problem. What about the "A" drivers "Droop" that almost always happens to these vehicles. Stand back, from the rear of the car, and note the 5-15 degree...

Early to mid 1928 Tudor Sedans out there?

Steve, It's 2017, late May and I finally get on the FB chat. I have a early May '28 AR Tudor and the only things that have changed are the clutch assembly, front mount (original frame was cut down) a new core on the rad, the roof was replaced, and side(plastic covered material) by the previous...

    Radiator Recorring

I had my rad recorred a couple of years ago. I had the shop build a 4-row, 10 fins per inch "commercial" rig to help my Tudor from overheating. That was a mistake, after two hot summers. I even back flushed the system, however whenever it gets over (30 deg. C / 83 F. she starts to percolate...

    Brakes and frame flex

Has anyone taken a look at the wishbone itself? Just check along the length of each arm to ensure it's straight from the ball to the perch pins. If you have brakes that lock up, on the front, a bent wishbone (even a 1/8 - 1/2") will change the caster on the wheels. It will also move your...

    What is it?

Yep, it's a split shift H/L underdrive gearbox, just as SteveB31 points out. My friend Joe has a fully restored '28 AR AA flatbed C-cab truck, with this installed behind the standard Ford 3-speed ******. The top speed is 35 - 40 MPH in H3 gear. Yet it'll do 0-5 MPH with full torque in L1. Great...

    28 model a

It's cheaper to overhaul and replace the brearings and any worn out gears of your original transmission. Check the other threads, here on Ford Barn, that address your same situation. Buy the Les Andrews manuals (and other restorer books) to learn more about the transmision and how to rebuild it.

    F150 ****** with overdrive

Do any of these conversion kits work with an Early '28 that has the "dog-bone" split braking system installed? I have a Tudor with the single plate clutch assembly installed, however, it still retains the early " no-E brake" AR brake system. I'm researching the idea, just to see if it works for...

    Insulation questions

It seems obvious you don't want to see the shiny foil on the engine side of the firewall, so it goes on the inside wall. Tuck it up behind the gas tank as far as possible and fit it between the side cowl panels. It can come down as far as the top edge of the "foot board". This will keep/ reflect...
