    Brakes

Drum, shoes fit perfectly. I just couldn’t get them to adjust. The break adjustment shaft and wedge were the only things I changed. I did use American made. It’s got to be something simple.

    Brakes

I put new shoes on the front, new drums, new bearings. I was unable to adjust the drivers side. I ordered new adjustment wedge & brake adjustment shafts thinking many years of wear. With the wedge adjustment all the way out I had to hammer the drum on. Not crazy but just to get it on. Even with...

    model B engine

After talking with others and seeing some of the responses from this forum, I have yet another question. On my B engine the timing pin is located about 3/4" lower than the pin on an A engine I have. When I insert the pin, finding the dimple on the gear, the rotor is pointing at #1 with the...

    Steering wheel

The steering wheel may be original. It does have one small crack. The car is a 1930. Thanks Flathead, I'll have to put black pants on my wife's shopping list. That's the best answer I have received so far. :-)

    Steering wheel

My steering wheel likes to leave black stripes on my pants. I put a sanding sealer on it to try and seal it, but not sure it is doing the job. What would be the best paint to put on the wheel as a finish? Thanks, Paul

    oil leak

Thanks for your input. I use 10w40 in the car. I daresay I have a larger spot after a drive. I'll have to monitor the drip and see how large a spot I really end up with.

    oil leak

I have heard the saying, BUT I keep cardboard under the car so I'm not sure how big a spot it likes to leave. It does seem excessive.
