checked timing with light and seems fine ,with carb linkage disconnected both have excellent throttle response . had 2 rebuilt 97,s before these and plugs would only be good for 30 -50 miles . rebuild job wasn't the greatest(won't mention who that's another story) with stock jets and power...

Can anyone tell me what is the advance degree on the distributor. the unit is a Mallory Model 7C,type 275AX , points at .020,dwell 26 ( this what is on the iD tag ) motor is a 1950 8BA. and it is mechanical advance. 40 over,Edmuns heads dual edmuns intake with dual 97's .not sure how to check it...
