    Identifying Tillotson carb

I have not seen a Tillotson like this. I have rebuilt and installed many carbs. Zenith, Marvel, and Tillotson but not seen one with the adjustment on the bottom of the carb. This was on the car for decades and ran with it but numerous fuel leaks prompted replacement with my preferred carb a Marvel

    Barn Find asking for help

I have worked on cars like this and caution you on topping off the oil. I have seen the dipstick look like the oil is OK but when you take the drain plug out of the pan nothing drains. Drop the pan and find a couple of inches of sludge in the pan and the dipper tray full also. It required...

I put wax paper in between the two rain gutter halves. I used a heavy board with the 2 dowels in for the bending point. You MUST hold down the gutter firmly flat against the board to stop from twisting. I would bend a little then put it alongside the car and re-bend until it matched. Then the...

    1930 headlight

The shells are stainless and in excellent condition. I can get everything I need except for the steel reinforcing plate. And not finding that will look at making the plate. Just trying to avoid going that route unless no alternative.

    1930 headlight

I was given a set of 1930 headlight that had been in a garage that was flooded. Both lights were submerged ( saltwater ). I got the lights disassembled and removed the metal backing that was riveted to the shell. The steel parts were very rusted and looked like laminated steel. I can replace...
