Just one more comment about 600w oil. the local club expert on a maintenance suggested I used straight STP oil treatment in steering box, transmission and differential. they work great for me. anyone else use it ?

Even though you read voltage at the solenoid, if the wire gauge is not big enough to carry the required amperage, if won't have enough power to 'pick' the solenoid. good luck !

I would think the pilot bearing in the flywheel is binding, and will not let the input shaft stop turning at flywheel speed. the earlier suggestions to break the locking bearing loose sound good, but the damaged bearing will always be there to lock up again

Had over heating problem. read a tip to use White Vinegar (from grocery store. cheap per gallon). drain out water, put in vinegar and drive for a week or so. drain, and drain, and flush and flush. Had to use coat hanger to clean out drain **** twice. No more over heating, didn't screw up...
