    Sagging rear end

count the number of leafs in the spring pack to make sure the correct amount are there. then also maybe there is a broken one. i have had springs re-arched with pretty good success. the big thing is you need to be real careful when taking the spring out and apart. find a spreader.

    ****** input/main drive ?

i guess i called the transmission a bad word in the title. i think i figured it out. it appears to have been a way to do a repair. the bushing must have been installed and the shaft turned down to fit it. as a way to repair either the main shaft or the input shaft. there seams to be no end to...

Securing Bottom Metal Channel to Side Window Glass

ps, the one issue i see with the urethane is it may not want to stick to the rubber packing you have, if it were me trying to cobble this together i would leave out the packing and fill the channel with urethane to compensate. oh and an fyi the packing on lower window channels is not oiled...

Securing Bottom Metal Channel to Side Window Glass

you could be correct, have never worked on a slant window 31, but i would be skeptical on that bit of information. if you decide you want to glue it in. I would go to the glass shop and buy a tube of windshield urethane (some times it needs a primer for the glass aswell) put it in the calking...

Securing Bottom Metal Channel to Side Window Glass

most lower window channel is held on by the friction fit of the packing between the glass and the channel. no glue or any kind of adhesive. i put the window upside down on a clean smooth solid mounted board and drive the channel on evenly with a wooden mallet. they can be tight. if the glass...

    side window channels install

just thinking here so this is just a maybe can you straighten the bottom hook and rebend it so the distance is longer, or drill a hole in the bottom of the channel 5/16" higher that will accept the hook? sometimes you just have to be creative.
