How much Marvel Mystery Oil per tank?

I use MMO in my chainsaw, edger, and weed eater. I’ve never used it in my A. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hagerty Car Insurance

I had one of my antique vehicles insured by Gulfway. My State Farm agent is great! She knows all about antique auto insurance, valuations, and limits. She cut me a quote that has better coverage at a lower price than Gulfway. I have 2 cars, a house, and one antique auto under SF. Every year I...

    American Pickers Model A .

The entire show is staged. I refuse to waste my precious free time watching that garbage. I apologize for being so blunt, but I see no point in sugar coating the truth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Engine Oil?

I just had another epiphany. When I first bought my A I thought that oil was a one-size-fits-all kind of a deal. In the two years that I have owned my car, I have learned a substantial amount about these vehicles. The engine blocks are almost 90 years old, and in some cases they are 90 years...

    Engine Oil?

My 2 cents plus tax: I know the history of my car going back to 1968. The previous owners told me to run non-detergent 30 or 40 weight, and change the oil every 600 miles. I'm not one to fix what isn't broken or change what doesn't need to be changed. I bought 5 cases of 40 weight ND at Sam's...

    Inexpensive floor console

Yes, you can screw the console down to the floor. There are 2 recessed areas for screws. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Inexpensive floor console

You're very welcome, Doug. I've learned so much from you and the rest of the Ford Barn gang over the years. It's nice to know that I can contribute in some small way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Inexpensive floor console

I really wanted an inexpensive console for my '30 Town Sedan to put my water bottles and phone somewhere other than the front seat. The consoles specifically designed for Model A's cost $90; way out of my price range. The cup holders at Snyder's and Brattons are $40+ when you add in shipping. I...

If you could only do one... $$$

For me, neither. I would rather throw $2300 towards the purchase of another Model A to feed my addiction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

White Walls (Just a question not trying to start a debate)

I might as well throw another log on the fire here. My Town Sedan has black rims. My current set of white walls, all 6, are bald. I took advantage of the deal Coker Tire is offering: free shipping and a free shirt on orders of 4 or more tires. Happy wife=happy life. She wanted white walls. I...

Available 6 volt bull horn kit?

Tom, I wondered the same thing. I have a concern about mounting a 12 volt negative ground horn into a 6 volt positive ground system. Do you think polarity would be a problem? Guess I gave s couple options. Buy a horn and attempt to modify it. I might just call Wolo and ask to speak to an...

Available 6 volt bull horn kit?

My Town Sedan has the original 6 volt positive ground electrical system. I want a bull horn kit. I’ve searched for the Jubilee No. 90 kit in 6 volt, but they are extremely rare. All I can find are non-branded 12 volt bull horn kits. My gut tells me that they are more than likely garbage. Wolo...

    introduction

There is a very active Facebook group for AA's. Fred Carlton runs it and posts pictures daily. I don't have a link for the group, but it should be easy to find. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Leg room

I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs. I found a couple of ways to increase legroom without major modifications. I removed the rubber pedal pads. I bought a pair of PF Flyers (similar to Converse Chuck Taylor's). The thin sole gives me the extra legroom to get my size 15 wide feet on the pedals. Sent from my...

    Ethanol Free

Ethanol is a solvent. I breaks up varnish that has built up in the tank and fuel lines. It destroys gaskets and seals. It eats the fuel tank linings. It absorbs water. I will NEVER run ethanol fuel in my Model A. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
