Ford Model AA Duel Rear Axles

Thank you to everyone for your advice. The main problem I have is trying to put the rear lazy back in with what I have and I can't figure out what the suspension configuration would have been. I can't see mounting for another set of springs. Would the original springs be moved and shared?? I...

Ford Model AA Duel Rear Axles

Thank you for your quick answers. From what I've seen, they all share the same spring set. This one is still running the original offset spring pack to the second axle. And I am not sure how the third axle was sprung. Surely not solid mounted?? Sent from my SM-A135F using Tapatalk

Ford Model AA Duel Rear Axles

Good Morning fellow Model A'ers.. I have a friend who has a flatdeck Model AA with a very long deck. At this time, it is a four wheeler (two axles), although the previous owner has removed a third lazy axle. I believe he was frustrated with the truck losing traction on driveways when the...

    Losing power when warmed up

Hey, What about fuel evaporating in the fuel line?? Is that a thing with the Model A's?? I seem to recall some talk about that a while ago.. It would make sense to me if you are pushing it hard on the mountain roads and the fuel sitting in the fuel line close to the exhaust.. If you stop or...

Help - Front End is Off Center

I had a similar issue with my truck.. i couldn't figure out why one wheel was further out in the guard than the other.. Then i looked at where the spring leaf ends sat. a couple of them were bunched to one side. My spring centre bolt was so worn it snapped and let the spring leaves slide...

    Two Shock Absorber Question

I agree with Brent, if its going to be front or rear, it should be front.. My 28 Roadster pickup came to me with no shocks and I drove it like that for three years before I purchased a late model aftermarket shock kit from Snyders. I got frustrated with the pickup ducking and diving with every...
