I am in the process of doing the M/C swap on my 39 and I am using the Chassis Engineering adapter with a 78 Ford Granada M/C everything is fitting up good.

It is still in the car. I have it unbolted but the pin that holds the push rod to the pedal is froze up so figured I could just pull MC out of way to get more room to work on that pin. I Have pulled hard. Ill see if I can get a jimmy bar up in there and get some leverage.

Is there anything that holds the brake pedal push rod in the master cyl. I am replacing the master cylinder. Pulled like crazy cant get it to come out. I know some new ones have a clip that holds rod in not sure about this one. don't see anything on parts brake down. Thanks Doug

Anyone here ever use a dustless blasting vendor or just the process? My 39 is looking bad along the drip rails and since this process is less harmful to the sheetmetal (so they say) I would like to get the area cleaned down to bare to see what I am dealing with. How does this compare to...

I have a good line on a 48 F1 rearend with brakes. Am I correct in thinking the backing plate and all will bolt up to my 39 rear? Thanks

As far as I can tell the eng in my 39 has never be apart. It runs ok at the moment and I would like to rebuild it myself in the future but you guys are scaring me with those prices. Its been a good while sine I rebuilt a small block Chevy or Ford but I can remember the clean up and machine work...

Thank you very much. That looks just like the grill trim on the 39. I saw some on ebay pretty fair price. I think Ill take a chance on it.

I thought I posted this before, guess I forgot to hit the submit button. Anyway can someone with a 35 or 36 take and send me some close up pictures of the side hood trim to show the profile and also measure the width. I measured my 39 and it is 1/4 wide. I have an idea on making grill trim...

Well got the old gage out and guess what it said on it. "Made in Industria Argentina." The tube is broken so I guess I need to find an old stock one or get another industria argentina or China one. I see Mac's has them. Saw some used gage clusters on ebay. Doug

(39 standard) I am going to remove my water temp gage from instrument cluster to get repaired (only one not working) I will put in a Aftermarket one while wait for the other to come back. Question is how much water will I lose from the system? Will it be all that is in head, all in hose and head...

I haven't replaced it yet but have seen the springs on several web sites. Not sure if Carpenters had them but will check since their only a few miles away. I will replace with a bolt and lock nut or if I can find the right size pin i'll use that and a small carter key.

This is a small thing but does any one know how to R&R one of these things. Photo's attached. My spring is broken and I don't see any way of removing the pin that holds it in.
