The transmission still locks up in third with the linkage disconnected. It must be inside for this problem.

My '53 sticking in 3rd gear!

When I replaced the input shaft, that is all I did. Nothing else disturbed. The input shaft was a n.o.s. I think it may be a little different. The transmission will be out to repair. I can't carry around a large wrench to unstick it. Maybe the old input shaft will be going back in.

Going to Hershey & need space to park or camp?

If one is looking for a place close to the Hershey fields to camp and park, I know of a great spot. It is the Hershey-Derry Historical Society right by the shopping mall just east of the Hershey fields. They have limited spots for a camper or trailer or just vehicle parking. They charge very...

My '53 sticking in 3rd gear!

My '53 Ford V8 with standard transmission locks it self in third gear! I have to crawl under with a wrench to release. It still does it again. I did change the input shaft prior to this problem. Does that have something to do with it?

I Can't Stop My Clutch Chatter On My '53!

The pilot bearing was replaced. The flywheel was resurfaced twice by competent machine shops. The chatter starts when I let up on the clutch, engaging the flywheel. If I let up slowly, the chatter is the worst. If I let it up faster and drive right off, It's not as noticeable. I have the...

Where can I get new lifters for my 337 Lincoln flathead?

Hello, I checked with Egge. They have only the plunger part at $22.19 each. NAPA has no listing. Kanter has none. So far, it's only the 16 on Ebay at $200 with shipping. As we need only 8, I may have to bite the bullet and buy the Ebay ones. Maybe I'll put the extra back onto Ebay.
