    6 volt or 12 volt

I use a 12 volt battery on my 1919 T for starting and my cell phone but run it on the mag. The headlights are run on the mag.

I'm looking for some insight !

Likewise… I have a car hauler if needed. The A on the trailer leaving NH. Cardboard on the window (with shrink wrap) and grill to protect it from debris during the trip.

I'm looking for some insight !

The original T motor is currently out of the car because I didn’t want to hurt it in any way. It has never been rebuilt, runs on the mag, has no starter, two piece valves, and burns a little oil. The only thing we did to it was replace the head gasket in the 50s, the bands in the early 60s, and...

I'm looking for some insight !

NH titles in my name is correct. We moved to North Carolina a year ago and brought the two cars to Raleigh about 6 months ago. We will register and title them in NC after we build our new home in Person County.

I'm looking for some insight !

I realize that this is weird question. I’m getting old and trying to figure out what antique cars I should keep. My kids are not in a position to take them. 1. We have a 1919 Model T with a Mifflinburg body that my dad and I restored in the mid-50s. It has the original motor and only a small...

No such thing as a dumb question

freighter Jim... I see him on the Model T ford Club of America forum at times and maybe Facebook. I live in Raleigh and have an 18 ft open car hauler for my T and A that might work. I just saw that the boat is 20 ft so I assume that the trailer is another 3 ft in length.. it is a bit long...

    30/3.5 tires

I found that the key to dis- mounting and mounting tires is the sun and a hot day. I needed to remove tires that were on the rims for 40 years struggled until someone told me to let the sun heat them up. It was a hot summer day in NH (one of the few) so I left them in the sun until they were...

    2 Motors

I found the second wooden stand so there are two stands, two motors, one bell housing, one flywheel, and one clutch assembly.

    2 Motors

Mark West Pinot Noir (a decent mid quality wine) is currently on sale for $9.45 a bottle at the NH Liquor store. What a great deal!!!! 2 bottles (for under $20) for 2 motors including cranks, heads, pistons, cams, a flywheel, a bell housing, etc. I’ll even provide at least one wooden stand -...

    2 Motors

Previously I mentioned the availability of 2 Model A motors for sale but things are getting hectic because we are looking at moving and I don’t want to deal with them. One is stuck. The other worn out and apart. Both have heads and there is one bell housing and flywheel/clutch assembly. I...

    Raccoon coat

I was going thru some of my parents stuff and found an old Raccoon coat. They were antique car enthusiasts and I remember my mom saying that she wanted one to go with the cars, but don’t remember her getting one. It is way to small for my wife or Me, and the liner needs some work. I looked on...

Where to get tough up paint?

If I get touch up paint for my Model A it would have to be rusty / black with a bit of WD 40 for rust protection.

    Marvel Mystery Oil in Crankcase

MMO. How it works is a mystery, but it works and smells good too!

    Am I allowed to win?

It runs again! I win, at least for the moment. It was most likely a stuck float, but since I took a bunch of stuff apart I’ll never know for sure. The only issue is that it doesn’t start easily, but that is not new. It takes a lot of choke even when warm but runs OK. I’m guessing that the idle...

    Model A Auto Transmission

Sorry to jump in on this, BUT Don’t ruin a perfectly good Model A when you can find something else for him to drive. Keep the A as near original as possible
