Thanks - appreciate the reply, and consistent with my thinking! I like reliability. Already thinking that way for converting vacuum windshield wiper from vacuum to electric.
My 36 Ford PU came with a hydrostatic fuel gage (dual with oil pressure) that needs restoration. Even though 1935 was last year for hydro gage, my 1/2 ton has it. My question is about the tank sending unit. Mine has what I think is a fuel supply line crimped and sealed as shown in the pic (left...
Super! Going thru my inventory of forgotten parts last weekend and found rolls of fender welt and a pack of brass-colored split rivets, in different locations. Was wondering what they were used for. I don't even remember buying them. Time is an enemy to memory. Thanks for solving the mystery!
Slightly off topic, but the glass lift channels for each mechanism are also "handed" and I'm finding they are very difficult to find. I'm still looking for a 36 Pickup RH (passenger side) lift channel if anyone has a source that isn't out of stock.

My 36 PU front fenders have rectangular openings for the bumper bracket vs slots, but maybe this question is applicable to either year. There are three 9/64 inch diameter holes on the bolt hole flange on cab side located at about 10 3/4, 15 3/4, and 20 1/4 inch from the running board end on both...
Looking for the RH door glass lift channel that seems to be out of stock everywhere. Prefer the one with wing extensions on each end (27 11/32 long w/wings), but not picky at this point. No success in the Swap Meet forum. Appreciate any help.
I'm looking for the dimensions/specifications of the wood part of the floorboard. Type of wood, how it was sealed/painted, hole pattern, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. This is for my 36 Pickup.
