    Blown Head Gasket

Yeah that's what I'm hoping. Really hope since I was able to put 4500 miles on it that a Crack would have shown symptoms prior to now.

    Blown Head Gasket

The builder said it had been magnafluxed nothing about pressure testing. And I'm my reading i discovered the need to retorque again. He had tan it through several heat cycles and retorqued before I got it. Granted that wasn't under load. Live and learn, expensive lesson lol

Yeah just hoping the block isn't cracked. I can handle getting the heads milled but if the bock is cracked, that's going to hurt

I'm a full-time woodworking teacher but own Compass Woodworks Co where I make a patented cocktail smoker, hence the tag on my 39 tonner

    Blown Head Gasket

A little backstory and any input is greatly appreciated as I'm learning all the time here. The truck (39 tonner) was towed to my mechanics this morning but would definitely like to hear any input from all the flathead knowledge here. I've put about 4500 miles on the truck since the rebuilt...

    39 truck windshield adjustment help

Appreciate all the input. Unfortunately my radiator sprung a leak today so the windshield will have to wait...boo. We have an old school radiator shop here but no clue what it's going to run. Don't expect it to be cheap.

Yeah your thread was the one I came across. I'm going to pull that damn headliner one more time today and see what I can figure out🤣

    39 truck windshield adjustment help

I think that's just the way it shows in the image. The channel was clean as a whistle and the gasket is all the way in and snaps into to place. The image at the top is where it is compressed all the way down like it should be once closed. At the bottom it's not and giving the appearance of...

    39 truck windshield adjustment help

I did not and only thought about it afterwards. This one from Steele is definitely thinner abs more supple than the one that was installed incorrectly from Metro Moulded. It looks like sure windshield needs to go up as there is more of recess showing at the top but I'm out of adjustment in that...

    39 truck windshield adjustment help

Ok for the life of me I can't figure out what is going on. The windshield as always stopped about about a 1/2" from closing all the way. I had a new gasket from Metro Moulded installed by a local glass place last summer. I took it windshield to them. Turns out they installed it wrong. So i...

    Aligning Light/Horn Switch

Thanks fellas. I'm going to try to give it a look this weekend and see what I can find.

    Aligning Light/Horn Switch

Yep got that, and thank you. I was referring to the nubs on the horn/light bezel itself.

    Aligning Light/Horn Switch

Thanks fellas. Are the little nubs supposed to align vertically or horizontally? If, horizontal, can the horn button itself be removed and repositioned? Attaching a photo of what mine currently looks like with the steering wheel aligned straight.

    Aligning Light/Horn Switch

Good morning all. I had an alignment done on my 39 tonner last week. Nice to have the spokes facing the correct orientation on my steering wheel now. With diesel having been up close to $6 a gallon I've put a couple of thousand miles on the 39 in the last 2 to 3 months including a few out of...

41 truck heater box repair service needed

I just took mine apart, cleaned it up, repainted and rewired mine in my 39 truck. My original switch was acting up so I went with the 40 switch from Dennis Carpenter that has the larger single resistor in the middle vs the 2 smaller on the 39. You say the motor is working? Is the fan blade...
