Thanks for the prompt reply. The production date for the AX 3,4xx,xxx is May 15,1930 - so apparently there may have been earlier experimental engines placed into service and data not captured. This is from a 1930 Tudor.

My friend is doing a frame off restoration and has a unique engine number..."AX 3,4xx,xxx". The number on the block matches the number stamped on the chassis. Any info about "AX" would be much appreciated.
