And - success! I was finally able to get my Phaeton lifted thanks to all the good advice! For future readers, here is a summary of the lift point recommendations from others that worked for me: Front lift points - The passenger one is tricky to avoid nonstructural parts. Essentially, find the...

    Lift points - Model A

Hey fellas and ladies too- I'm having difficulty identifying accessible lift points on my A. I am grateful to have a 10,000 lb 2 post lift in my shop - but the arms aren't quite long enough to engage the axles - even if the wheels are removed. As you may be aware, Ford placed several obstacles...

Idaho "Classic" or "Old Timer" $25 one time fee - good for the lifetime of the vehicle - as long as it is older than 1943 and not heavily modified.

    Broken head stud

Today, while retorquing my head nuts, I broke off the #3 head stud. Aargh! This is my first broken head stud - and on searching the forums, I thankful to see I'm not alone. missing V.I.N.

I had a great deputy in Idaho do a VIN inspection on my '29 Phaeton when I first purchased it - and, no surprise, no body # to be found. I suspect it is hiding on a frame member - and under the body. I understand that not all As had frame numbers assigned. Thankfully, he was very understanding...

Clutch - Right hand drive 1929 Phaeton

Hey folks - First of all, thanks in advance for your continued good advice - I sure enjoy this forum! I have a '29 Phaeton whose clutch is really growling at me. I've known for some time now that it would likely need a new clutch - but I'm a little daunted by trying to find parts for replacing...
