It sounds like you have some bum fuel. Try adding some fuel additive.

My question is does the engine turn over ? It maybe that the engine is frozen with rust . I would pull the plugs and turn the engine over.

I was an installer for Illinois Bell and drove one of those for years. They retired that style of truck for Ford Vans.

Its 5deg here with 30 to 50 mph winds on the way which to lend to -40 deg. thats cold.

Check Pep Boys thats where I got my optima battery. It was on sale at the time. And yes it was a 6 volt battery.

The cardboard box helps retard evaporation. I seal it good, with shipping tape.

I spray mine with wd40 and put them in a cardboard box.

Check the wheel bearings and or the tie rod ends.
