Thanks Bob. I was uncertain how much I could bend the tabs, but a little persuading with some needle nose pliers got the job done. And the windows work better than they ever have. (except for the fact that one got cracked while it was out.....)

Got 'er done yesterday. I just sat the two trannys side by side on a bench and pulled them apart one piece at a time. The biggest difference was one was longer than the other, so I made up the space with a couple of washers on the kickdown part. And it took about 10 tries to get the kickdown...

I have a 70 C4 trans that I'm swapping into my 64 Comet along with a 66 6 bolt block. The Comet has a column shift, which I'm keeping; but the 66 was from a floor shift and shift linkage goes the other direction. Does anyone have specific knowledge if the linkage can be swapped between these...
