'41 or '42 Engine and trans, value?

I know for example that the transmission casting is unique to the 6-cylinder (even though the internal gears are the same as the V8). It is pretty rare to find one, and would be worth good money to someone who is looking for one. Same thing for the manifolds, and several other parts. In other...

'41 or '42 Engine and trans, value?

I can vouch for the somewhat limited parts availability for the G-Series. I am in the process of restoring one now….parts are still out there, but you have to know where to look. I understand the 6 cylinder engines are good, smooth running, and reliable engines with a ton of torque, but...

Missing Exhaust Bracket Mystery, G-Series 6 Cyl.

I was originally going to title this post "what am I missing?" but I think somebody would have answered "you are missing the engine...duh!" :) What I am really asking is: What the heck does the missing exhaust support bracket (that attaches the welded tab on the exhaust pipe to the frame)...

Heat riser cover for 6 cylinder G-Series manifold

I am looking for the metal cover piece that mounts over the heat riser spring mechanism in the early G-Series 6-Cylinder engines. It looks like the rounded top of a can with some curved cutouts. It is part # 1GA-9434. I put a picture from the green bible, and another picture of one on a manifold...

Engine paint color match! 6 cylinder G-Series

Kube, Point well taken. If you know of a definitive color sample available somewhere, I sure couldn’t find it,, and would love to see it. Even though this original paint has been heat cycled a million times, at least it hasn’t been fading out in the sun for years like paint on a car roof, and...

Engine paint color match! 6 cylinder G-Series

After exhaustively searching the internet for the original paint color on the early G-Series 6-Cylinder engines, I took some paint thinner and wiped away what I can only assume was a topcoat of rattlecan regular Ford Engine Green paint, to reveal the remnants original paint! I had it color...

    Generator for 1941 G-Series 6-Cylinder

Hi, I am looking to buy a backup generator for my 1941 G-Series 6-cylinder Engine. They are kind of rare because of the unique mounting bracket and pulley. Thanks! Mike Herbeck

Hot water heater for the 6 cylinder engines

Hi, I am hoping that somebody out there has some information about using the Ford hot water heater with the g-series or h-series 6 cylinder Ford flathead engine.in the 1941 to 1946/48 era. I have some good information about the kit that provides a shutoff valve and the connection to the engine...

1941 Ford Truck hot water heater

Looking for a 1941 truck heater. It will have the push/pull damper knob in the front upper left corner, and the drain plug fitting on the lower right bottom of the case. Looking to purchase outright, or I do have a correct 1941 car heater (without the drain plug fitting) that I would be willing...

    Voltage Regulator finish question

That makes a ton of sense. I hadn't considered the war effort. Thanks! Mike

    Voltage Regulator finish question

The 1940 book said that voltage regulators were CAD plated. The 1941 book says they were zinc plated. Does anyone know for sure if this is correct? I tend to believe CAD in 1941 as well, but really want to be sure. Thanks! Mike

Panel truck rear door hinges or parts left side

Hi, thanks for checking out my parts wanted ad! I am 0 for 2 looking for super rare and obscure parts, but I figure if I don’t ask I don’t find. Looking specifically for the upper left door hinge for a 1930’s early 40’s panel truck. Does anyone have a bad, rusted out rear door that still...
