One other comment. What you need is the clip which attaches to the hand support. The other pieces can be made/purchased through a leather supply outlet.
Wow, all kinds of advise. Here’s my comments. Take a class at your community college. Use Ditlzer/PPG products. And do the work yourself. Pride of ownership with a job well done.
David,
Having no luck posting pictures. I went thru my shop and found my patterns. My 1930 has all the curtain attachments on the top frame. Which made is easy to match those to the curtains. Send me a message and I will make another set and send to you via USPS.
One additional purchase, Model A Mechanic Handbook by Les Andrews.
At 78 yrs, I don’t trust my memory. So this handbook continues to assist me with my fourth A. Which is a 1930 Roadster.
Find a shoe repair. My local shop had the right shade of leather and a source for the buckles. He was able to make the straps and order the hardware. Not exact, but looks really nice. Also the cost was reasonable.
It appears to be a Harley Davidson. Also rather than a foot on the running board. Cops are trained to stop with a three point stance. Left foot down, right on brake, hands free.
Paul Shinn, the model A guy, has a series of how to videos on YouTube. Great resource. These have helped me work through similar issues. What body style 1930?
