    Model A oil pans

The motor in my roadster has an oil pan with just a plug in the bottom - my coupe has a pan that has a plug and an access plate to pull the oil pump out without dropping the pan :). QUESTION; can these be interchanged ?? Thanks- always learning!

    2-speed rear end I.D.-Help Needed

I sure appreciate all the info.- sounds like I ended up with an interesting piece . Once we recover from the winter, I want to study on that rear and hopefully run it in my roadster. I've got one coupe to get squared away first , and another one I started this winter that's going into storage...

    The Janitor

I thought that's how they mark their "territory"? ( like an old Harley- if it's NOT dripping, you've got problems). Besides , if I tried to empty that thing, I'd probably dump it anyway!

    Exhaust manifold heat shield

Put the insulation on the INSIDE of the firewall , and cover it with something painted a dark color ( or even a piece of matching carpet material)?? That keeps the engine compartment neat, but forms a heat barrier to the interior of the car. Floor matts would help also. ( or an air conditioner!)
