    2 Blade Fan Shortage

I've been trying to find a 2 blade fan for my 1930 Model A, but all of the normal sources are either backordered or out of stock. Does anyone know of a source that may have one on hand? I want to replace my water pump and fan at the same time (I have a steel 4 blade), and don't want to go into...

    Mystery Water Leak

Excellent advice - I will also order this with the water pump and check off a couple additional items for the old girl. Thank you! Update - wow, going through all my regular suppliers and it seems there is zero supply of two blade fans. I'll keep an eye out for them.

    Mystery Water Leak

I can do that - recommend the sealed or with grease fittings (I do the lubing myself). I have to update - I used to be a block from Shotwell Park in Eastwood. I am now in Auburn.

    Mystery Water Leak

I purchased this today. Once I have another moment to clean the engine, I'll add and see if I can find where the source is. Thank you

    Mystery Water Leak

Been quite a while since I posted/queried. We bought an old house needing complete restoration (1835), along with a barn on its last leg. It took a year to get the barn back, stabilized, and straightened, so I could finally get my A in so I could work on it again. Two items sprung up from the...

    Mechanic in Auburn NY Area

I’ve recently moved to the Auburn New York area in upstate New York. I’ve lost my garage space so unfortunately I can’t work on my model a in the driveway, especially with the volume of rain that we’ve been getting lately. I have a combination oil as well as antifreeze leak that is considerably...

    Jack Bahm passed

So sorry to hear of his passing. Loved his videos, his delivery, and irreplaceable knowledge. He will definitely be missed.

    Best Car Cover

BTW - going from the one to other - thought I'd include pics. The barn is about 24'x53' so once stabilized - maybe more room for toys (but I won't let the Mrs. know that part).

    Best Car Cover

We recently sold our house, with my favorite part being the 3.5 car garage. The home we're going into has a large barn, but currently unstable so I have to invest in getting it back in shape before I bring in the toys. In the meantime, I don't want my 1930 out in the rain/elements. What is...

    Engine Noise Again- Help-Opinions?

The previous gear was a non-metal gear. It had wear marks in the bolt holes (elongated), but didn't appear otherwise damaged. I just thought about what you said - aluminum so definitely won't pick up with a magnet. I'll have to give my guy a call on Monday.

    Engine Noise Again- Help-Opinions?

Thanks. Removed fan belt and same level of intensity of noise an clanking kept up consistently. I then removed the oil pump retaining screw and oil did fly out of the hole with a fair amount of pressure - but I think what came out may be even more troubling?? The sparkly silvery output is a...

    Engine Noise Again- Help-Opinions?

If it may be this here is my question. I had the oil pan gasket replaced recently. If the oil pump retaining screw was tightened against the pump so it didn't fall out, and wasn't loosened up after, could that be it, or potentially the oil pump failed?

    Engine Noise Again- Help-Opinions?

Took the old girl out for a drive earlier today but at the end she got really noisy. In December the camshaft gear was replaced as it was well worn. Now I've seem to have another set of noises - ugh.... Took a video - hope the audio represents it well. I wish it was a bad water pump but I...

Tudor driver door sliding lock install and correct function?

When I purchased mine the lock on the drivers did not function. Purchased a new assembly, and when tightened, the door handle was very tight to operate - almost unusable. I lined up the two assemblies and found the screw hole to mount to the door was a little bit off the original I was...
