    FYI Portland, Or Swaps rumors

I always thought having a swap meet in April in western Oregon was kind of iffy. Could be rainy and cold. June would be a better choice. And yes the Albany swap meet is on.

Returning a 1932 Ford Coupe back to a Model B

Lots of differences. To name a few. Radiator, headlight bar, motor snubber, foot throttle, motor mounts, steady rods, engine splash pans, wiring harness, hub caps, fuel line, exhaust system, starter cable. I'm sure there's more. Most of the necessary parts are easily available. Newc is right...

    1932 3w 1933 1934 seat question

They are different. 32 3w seat is a little narrower. You can use a 33 34 seat by taking a pie cut out of the base. The side pieces are the same. I've done one several years ago. Pretty easy.

    What is it?

Model A's didn't have cowl vents. Some early model A's had front quarter panel vents.

    1932 3W Door Check Strap

The T style rubber door strap slides in through the wooden B pillar from the back side. Unfortunately the aftermarket straps are mostly rubber causing them to severely stretch. Original ones had fabric inside. You will need to remove the rear quarter upholstering panel. Two machine screws hold...

    Bead blasting 33 hood

Sounds about right. Doing a complete hood requires a lot of time, especially the louvers. Wander why the latch wasn't removed.

    1935 Ford "expert" question

I rather doubt they would place a sticker on each side. Makes perfect sense they would place it on the dip stick side. Rarely do you open the other hood side. You would think quality control would have caught that.

    48 Mercury hand brake

That's exactly what I did. The spring is too long binding before forcing the arm to move the shoe. Either cut off some of the spring or better yet do what Rich did and move the retainer clip. Nothing like poor reproduction parts.

    woodgrained window-moulding screws?

Those cupped washers work well but were not used originally. As David stated it is not necessary to cinch those screws. I roll the screw in wax first. Does not gall, easy clean up and threads in much easier. Also those cupped washers just don't look right.

    Another 32 Ford question

David is right. The 7/16 bolt is sitting at a slight angle to the frame. I have a original 2dr 3w and 5w all with original firewalls, (dash). All have bolts at a slight angle. My brookville 3w body sits on a original frame. Same issue. The reproduction rubber cowl seal is some what thicker then...
