I have the later 6 bolt bell. Been researching T5 tranys, just got to find the right one, there's a lot of them.

Thanks. I'm kind of excited about this T5 now. I see a company out there MDL with all kinds of hardware to make this work in an old Falcon.

Installing a 289 in this car. I would like a Toploader 4 speed for this conversion but I refuse to pay the money for one that I been seeing out there. Is a T10 a good option in this application? Does anyone know the model numbers I should be looking for? At least this gives me some flexibility...

Seems to be plenty of room at firewall, fits as good as any other V8 vehicle I've seen. Little tight for exhaust.

That bar is all grungy like the whole car was in engine compartment, also was a small hole drilled in it for some reason. Unless it is from an original V8 car I don't know.

Building a 8BA. I magnafluxed the block tonight and found some deck cracks I am not real concerned about, but I did find one from a pan rail bolt up the side a little ways then sideways 2 directions, T shaped. I suspect this is from freezing. See pic. Appreciate any input. Weld? Pin? Ignore...
