front motor mount '31 Model A

The three bolts in the frame and single bolt on the engine (both sides) have all been loosened. It must be pinched. Agh. I just looked over a youtube about the rear mounts and it appears they are showing 2 bolts on the housing. I dunno how I missed seeing that. Have to check it tomorrow.

front motor mount '31 Model A

I used an engine hoist to lift the motor after loosening the motor mount bolts (4 per side). Swapped out the front mount. Looks beautiful. Went underneath and the single mounting stud for the front mount is about 1/4" off center (engine is 1/4" closer to passenger side). Even with the weight...

    12V conversion, headlights, taillights, starter

Starting some initial research. Is there any consensus on these items? 1) 6 volt starter seems anemic. Would a 12v starter spool up better? 2) best value solution for modern power headlights? 3) LED powered taillights? 4) anything else I should be looking at or asking questions about?

front motor mount '31 Model A

Ok ..... so the radiator is pulled and I tried to get some decent pics. "Tried" is the operative word. :-) Was getting ready to pull out the engine lift and thought I would post what it looks like. Any gotchas to look for going forward?

front motor mount '31 Model A

The pics are really terrible -- the pulley has been ground down some. I don't know if it needs replacement yet. Should I go ahead and pull the radiator and hood panels?

    Are these good enough?

front motor mount '31 Model A

The front motor mount on a '31 Model A is misaligned. The pics are terrible, but the single spring, motor mount base is approximately 3/4" forward of where it should be to be vertical. The belt pulley is dragging on the spring and has worn down the belt and damaged the metal pulley. Does the...

    Questions.

There's a story there, I think. This tank is under the passenger side front seat. Any chance you could message me with a good place to buy a new carb or rebuild the old carb?

    Questions.

The coil rebuilder I found charges 40 per coil. Just seems like at $160, I could find a modern replacement without too much problem. I'm just not finding that replacement. ??? BTW, this T has an aftermarket water pump. It's pretty wild looking .....

    Questions.

Attached is a pic of the carb and fuel tank petcock. Since I lost a couple gallons of fuel in as many days, something tells me the carb has a problem? Right now, I've got the inclination to replace/rebuild the carb before going any further. I mean .... it can't hurt .... right?

    Questions.

I'll be heading to the auto parts store tomorrow before my new Model T work session to get some Marvel Oil. Thanks!

    Questions.

The tank had some serious nastiness in it and I would have replaced it if it was not so buried in the body. I'm not sure but guessing the body has to come off to replace it? Screwed into the bottom of the tank was a huge brass body with on/off valve that looks purpose built to contain gas tank...

    Questions.

Hi all, Tons of questions. Trying to wake up a '23 T that's been in a barn for 6 or 7 years. So far: 1. removed plugs and squirted oil in cylinders - valve-in-block may mean that I squirted oil into intake or exhaust on one or more cylinders 2. changed oil 3. flushed fuel system 4. new...
