    ford 3 window

I believe Chevy had full steel tops in 36. It was a bragging point that fisher body had the presses big enough to stamp a full top. Ford accomplished the same feat in time for the 37 model year. Just my understanding, would appreciate any confirmation or otherwise. Mart.

Front spring shackle stud removal from perch?

Nice job! Often when people ask questions you don't expect them to have full machine shop capabilities. Mart.

Front spring shackle stud removal from perch?

You might be able to reinstall the hacksaw blade in the saw. There might be an angle where you can get some decent strokes going. A brand new blade might be a good idea to make it as effective as you can. I would use the street rod type bushings. The original type are hard to insert...

The plight of the 1947 59A and finding someone willing to try

Rob, I've revived some poor blocks in my time but would not consider that block as a rebuild candidate. Surely you ought to be able to find something more suitable. No-one would doubt it could be brought back to life and some might enjoy the challenge but the engine will always be compromised...

Front Mono Spring on a '34 5W Coupe?

I wouldn't change too much. The monoleaf is a good idea if it works ok. Modern vehicles use them. There seems plenty of clearance between the spring eye and the axle. That's a good thing and not always the case. You want a spacer above the clamp against the spring and some washers on the U bolts...

    Crab distributor plug wire routing?

Nice tidy job. That's similar to how I do mine. 90 degree is the way to go on these.

    1932 Ford front crossmember question

Can't say why it is like that, but it doesn't look "right". What is also not right is the rad mounts seem unequally spaced from the frame rails. It would be interesting to see a view of the underside of the crossmember. There might be a square hole in the reinforcing plate on the underside of...

    Crab distributor plug wire routing?

I use 90 degree fittings at both the cap and the plugs. I don't use the conduits. I buy a kit and make them up to my own lengths.
