Thanks for your reply. I forgot to mention that the points and condenser were replaced with petronix module and the ballast resistor was removed. A standard 12v coil is used, not a flamethrower distributor. Marilyn

My 59 Galaxy will only start with a jumper from positive coil to positive battery. There is no power et coil with ignition on and jumper removed. What is the problem. Marilyn

My 59Galaxy will only start with jumper from positive battery to positive coil. The car has electronic module systemindistributor. Without the jumper there in no power at coil with ignition switch on. Can ou help me find the problem? Marilyn

I have a 59 Galaxy 500 with a 292 cid and a ford o magic trsnsmissin. The problem is very rough idle at operating temp.The distributor has a petronix module. Can some one help me to solve this problem? Thanks, Marilyn
