Hi all,
I’ve got an Erie lead that’s become disconnected from the adjustable brush in my powerhouse generator. I’m curious if I need to replace the whole brush and lead (and if so, where to best source that as I don’t seem to be having luck on the supplier sites), or if it something I could...
Original ‘28 Radiator overflow location?
Hi all,
I’m about to install a new Brassworks ‘28 radiator and am looking to have the orientation of the end of the overflow tube be show correct. Looking in the MAFCA judging I just see that it says the pipe ended “at the bottom of the radiator”. If the...
Brassworks ‘28 Show Quality vs Active Driver?
Hello all,
I’m about to launch into replacing the incorrect radiator in my ‘28 (while I don’t do shows, being a history teacher, I’m basically running a show car). Having searched the judging standards, I can’t seem to find anything about fins/inch...
My thoughts exactly. My goal is to get the car back to out of the factory and I just picked up the original shroud. Down the road I’d like to switch out the radiator to a show radiator and certainly wouldn’t do any alterations to the shroud, though I don’t mind making alterations to the repop...
Has anyone had experience with installing the ‘28 shroud (original) with a reproduction radiator? The radiator in my 28 appears to be the low price version available from Mac’s. I’ve done a bunch of measuring and looks like the bottom tabs on the radiator are in the way- I’m curious if the tabs...

Gary,
Quick question, I see in the MAFCA document that their drawing has the flat part of the motor being oriented to the bottom when the motor is mounted. Mine seems to be oriented the other way judging by the data plate/on-off switch. If I were to mount it that way, I’d have to remove the data...
Gary,
Thank you so much for the photos! Looks like the 90 degree most is the part I need to either find or fabricate. When I got the wiper, it has a cloth covered wire that looks to be original to it (the wiring connections inside the motor seemed never to have been messed with from what I can...
Hello all, does anyone have any leads on exactly where to get the connector that goes on the motor for connecting to this piece for restoring an original motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello all,
I’ve been working on restoring an original OD-01 wiper and have it working, my question is if anyone has images for exactly how the wiper is mounted to the inside of the frame and what hardware is needed to do this to show quality correct. I’ve seen the repop clips but seems that...
Just an update in case it proves helpful to anyone with this problem. I got the stud off by the following method; began by drilling holes across the top of the lugnut and then then connecting them as to sever a channel across the top of the nut. Then with a dremel I used a small cutting wheel to...
Hello all,
I’ve got a rear wheel lugnut that is just spinning when I try to remove it- seems the stud has separated from the drum. Does anyone have a suggestion for best course to follow to remedy this and get the wheel off? Seems to me I could remove the hubcap, loosen the brake adjustment...
Would anyone out there happen to know the correct size and construction from an original boot for the leather pieces that the footman loops pass through? Would rather base what I do off something documented if I can!
Thanks!
Mark
I’ve noticed a slight weep after removing the nut in order to replace the distributor cable. Did a compression test and all cylinders show 30psi but I’m getting a tiny bit of white smoke. Before pulling the head, thought I’d try here for thoughts. Realized that when I put the nut back on without...
Re: Turning over but won’t start-slight electrical short
Seems to maybe be the pop out switch. I put a 1930 style armored cable on and bypassed the switch and the car fired up.
