    Engine Knock at 2000 RPM

Good post. Could be bad workmanship or a bad part. Being that the engine rebuilder has already taken it apart and checked it for problems (or so we think) it's hard to know where to go next in this situation. Start from scratch and have someone else rebuild the engine again?

Looking for seller of Penrite steering box lube

You can comment about that...you spend a lot of money each year using your Transferwise borderless account debit card buying Model A parts from the USA don't you?

    Engine Knock at 2000 RPM

Sorry to hear this has happened to you. Did the engine rebuilder ever hear this rattle at 2000 rpm? If no, why not? If yes, what did he say?

Looking for seller of Penrite steering box lube

Product is good BUT it is overpriced and they are marketing it as a "lube" to suck people into thinking it's a specifically made product for vintage cars. It's 00 grease nothing special to warrant the price they ask. Of course it works, it's 00 grease. Go to a Tractor Supply store and buy it...

Your mates at Australian owned Penrite suggest using it. They even put a fancy drawing of an old car on their 00 grease which they call "lube" to make you feel better about your purchase.

What is driving an A on snow/ice like? Can you add studs to A tyres?

So your winter drive to Alaska is possible! I suggest Nokia 5.50x19 bias ply tyres for the studs. https://www.lucasclassictires.com/550-19-LUCAS-Nokia-Tread-Blackwall-299p.htm

Firstly, you DO NOT have to buy a $400 stud gun like this loser did in the video below (I'd like to punch this guy in the face and smash his glasses): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNyxIiRclNU This way is for real Model A and T guys like us: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4-Y8Qr77ZA Buy...

The Penrite is 00 grease, don't let them suck you into thinking their "lube" is anything specially made for vintage cars...that's just a marketing scam.

What is driving an A on snow/ice like? Can you add studs to A tyres?

That may or may not be true but it doesn't necessary mean adding studs to say a 19" Firestone will not work or be unsafe. You shouldn't drive at 61mph in a 60 zone but people do and police don't normally book them nor do they normally get killed because of speeding by 1 mph.

I sure do like the idea of overtaking modern cars on icy Interstates with these studs ! :D

    Rear Wheel Bearings

Well said. When mistakes in hardness is made, too soft is normally the problem not too hard. About 10 years ago Texas T parts had to recall their new Model T rear axles for further hardening when people on a coast 2 coast trip reported problems. Axles were tested and were found to be too soft.
