How do tighten the screws when they are under the lacing?

Do the screws that mount the shell to the radiator go right through the lacing or do you somehow put them under the lacing?

I am much happier spraying single stage than base and high solids clear. When 2 colors are used on a Model A body, are most of you using BC/CC or single stage? My concern is that there will be a definite line felt where the paint edges meet.

I'm using a reproduction shell it looks different from those.

Oh man I'm way off. Any chance you have a pic of the upper side where the other shell to radiator screw goes through? I thought it just all ran on the outside the whole way around. I sure appreciate the pics!

I looked all over the Internet for pics of properly installed shell lacing but couldn't find any. Does anyone have pics? Where does it terminate at the bottoms and how?

Well the box from Berts showed up today. The box containing the nickel shell was in fact marked KNS made in Taiwan. It's horrible. The nickel has areas of scuffing and multiple flaws. It looks and feels cheap. I won't know how it fits until my new radiator arrives but just as a heads up to...

You are correct. I went out and messed with it and figured it out. I never saw one down in person. I thought they covered more of the tank than they do. This sticks way out from the body and basically leaves everything forward of the spreader bar exposed which is a major bummer.

I am trying to install a 32 luggage rack and can't figure it out. Does anyone have a pic of a 32 luggage rack in the down position without luggage on it? Do the trim strips face the sky or the ground in the down position?

These were being reproduced a few years ago but they seem to have been discontinued. Does anyone know of a source for them?
