TJ, I checked my old arms and the hinge pins seem tight. Fordman asked about where we could find new pins. I am wondering about locating these pins also. Thanks TJ.

Kube, thanks for the info. I'll pull off the new ones and compare with the new set. Might have a few more questions on the rebuild of the old springs if it come to that. Thank again.

Where are the pivot pins? I am also installing Drake's trunk lid supporting arms and now my lid does not match up with the body as it did before using the old ones. The only problem with the old support arms is they didn't hold the trunk up.

More on my trunk lid install. The original adjusting arms allowed the lid to set perfectly on the body, they just didn't hold up the trunk. I could go back the those if anyone knows how to stiffen them up. Thanks

Did you run into any adjustment issues? I am putting new trunk lid adjusting arms on my forty convert also. One side is not level with the body.

Hope the forty hood removal worked out. Thinking about the other end, when replacing trunk lid support arms on a forty convert, is there any adjustment that can help the trunk lid set smooth with the body, anybody?
