I wasn't aware a 50 ford Loadamatic dist. had a vacum cannister.

I have run the stock distributer and Carb in my 53 for 20 years and 60000 miles. I run 18 to 19 mpg. As long as I leave the car stock I see no reason to change.

I did not realize that was a stupid question for the experts on this Forum.

If you initially fill the OD and trans with oil will the oil move between the two so it is possible to just check the trans. The car is a 53. Thanks

All I have been able to find is the 85-90 GL5 gear oil is this the correct oil to use. Thanks
