Got a problem with my carburetor, I think. The car starts good, runs good on top end, idles real well with the choker rod turned out 1 1/2 turns. If I try to turn it in, it loses a little bit of power and doesn't run as well. I wonder if it's in the adjustment needle. Anybody had any problems...

Thanks for the responses. I took a direct line from the manifold to the wiper and it works great. Also took a wire and air and went through the lines inside the car. They are clear. But when I hooked the wiper back up to the hose going through the car to the manifold, it won't work. I've got...

Working on Trico vacuum wiper motor. When it's on the car with a steady 19" of vacuum according to my gauge, I can't get it to move. With it still on the car I hook a hand vacuum pump to it showing 10 - 11" of vacuum, and it just moves back and forth fine. I don't understand it. Any ideas...

Thanks to all for your responses, especially "criswellnk". I'd made an expander tool for the inside of the shoes but never thought about using bolts on the outside so I used the bolts and expander together. It worked great! It really sucked it back. Got it back together, seems like it runs...

Ran generator on car today. Seemed awful hot again so I tore it down, pulled the armature. On the back of the armature toward the commutator, it looked like it was rubbing on the field coil shoes. The first thing that would come to my mind would be running out of round but it's got new...

I put it on the car, got it to charge (7-8 amps), charges good but it still gets hot. Maybe like Peter said "How hot is too hot?" I'm going to try one of the infrared thermometers and see what it says. Thanks again to all.
