    '46 Mercury horn wiring question

" petehoovie" & "Shortdoor" are right on! When I removed the horn harness and "Sea Shell" horns from my 1948 Lincoln Continental Coupe, this very fine coiled wire fell away- it was toast! The '47-'48 LC wiring schematic explained it.

In 2010 I purchased my latest "project" , a 1948 Lincoln Continental Coupe from a friend of mine. On the title the body # and VIN # were transposed. When I went to my local DMV (Westminster, Maryland), to have the title in my name and corrected ; I did some "homework" . I have a number of...

    Lincoln V12 a crap engine?

The HV12 Zephyr engine was NOT a crap engine! People did not take care of them. I have had 5 V12's in different Lincolns and had rebuilt 2 . The last was in a '38 LZ Conv. Coupe, it was running good after about 35 years. With the Hyd. lifters, the oil has to be changed often and remember...

    1948 Dash Clock

Hello Nate, I have a '46 2 DR SD and have gone all over this car. I can't believe there is much difference between the '46-'48. Lincoln? V12 intake manifold

On pic. #5, can you make out the year in the casting? This could be an early HV12 for the '36-'37 Lincoln Zephyr--267 CI All of the HV12s I have owned and worked on were cast with a '47 year. I don't think it is a "K" Lincoln--L.E.B.
