    starter bendix cover

The starter drive on my 33 V8 is showing. What covers the bendix? Is it something that looks like a can 3 or 4 inches long? If so, how do get it in place without damaging it?

    Flathead won't start!

My flathead did the same thing after setting for a few months.Put some oil in the cylinders, let the motor spin over a while, then put the spark plugs back in and it fired right up.Smoked quite a bit...
