has anyone had any, or know of any successful uses of nitrous oxide in a flathead?

I used modern pennies and they just flew out the exhaust after a few mins of running.

contact John Erb in Nevada...he is THE man. You can find his info on the HAMB.

I blocked mine but the damn pennies shot out the exhaust after running only a few minutes...then they looked REALLY old! The edges were rounded over and worn...like the coin lost 20% of its dia.

SCAT 276" rotating assy 3-5/16X4" offy super dual intake dual edelbrock 94 carbs POTVIN super 3/8 cam ground by schneider 280 X .375 clone MSD ignition I know it's a bit radical for the street...it's going in a weekend warrior. https://youtu.be/rJsxl5MS4PY also I read somewhere from an OLD...

That's what I assumed, but isn't that for bone stock? I haven't UNISYN'd the carbs yet. I back the idle speed screws out to zero, then turned them in till they just make contact and went from there a 1/4 turn each till it would even maintain an idle without dying. I can get it down to about 750...

Is the machine work on the OFFY heads complete crap like my manifold? I opted for Edelbrock heads after seeing the crap quality of the OFFY product. The Edelbrock's are beautiful. The one I got are good to .400 lift. my cam is .375 but the deck was milled a little so I had trouble closing the...

I got a 276" with a 280 cam and dual carb. What should be a decent idle speed?

alright fellas..thanks for the 411. So for $300 it might be fair deal?

I have a chance to pick up a 1958 Edsel E400 engine. What I DO know is the E400 means 400 ft lbs tork, and it's 361CID. I've read a lot of confusing mumbo jumbo about ALL of the "FE" blocks. Now I understand this engine is an "MEL" block. How much compatibility is there between the MEL and FE ...

I'll keep ya updated, man these things re hard to find in stores! I know I can ebay them and find plenty, but I've had bad experience with that. Local stores don't have them and when they order them...they get one from KC, and 2 from Springfield and 1 from blah blah blah.... I got some on order...

Hey thanks for the offer there Bubba!! .... I have a bag of these indexing washers on the way already, but I think I may try these surface gap plugs mentioned here.

Whoa hey now!!!! that plug may be the ticket as I am running an MSD. I like that better than "double gasketing" another plug.

Yes I understand the true purpose of the indexing washer. I did ask Speedway about the use of them, they say to use them WITH the gasket.

Yeah I know...It was just a warm up run.
