    Long Term Storage Houston

Hey Ford Barn, been a while. My wife and I are relocating overseas for a while and I am in need of long term secure storage for my Model A. Does anyone in the Houston area have any suggestions? I would like to find a place where I can store the vehicle, the trailer and any household goods we...

The new Burtz Mosel A engine

Curious what the future plans are for this engine. I’ve followed moderately. Is it going to be a limited run deal only? I believe Todd is still working a new original block as well, is that correct? I’ve been out of the loop for a while. Good to see these engines going together and excited to...

    Broken Venturi

Flow is changed. However, it most likely doesn’t make much of a difference. Personally I would replace the Venturi, they’re cheap and it will ensure it has the correct flow. If it is an original pot metal Venturi I have used a torch in the past to remove broken ones. No need to use a fancy...

    LED Lights

Haven’t done the headlight yet myself...plan on doing the new brattons reflectors and LEDs. However, I did just put some LED bulbs in the tail lights and was rather happy with them, much brighter which should help with being more visible as I don’t run a third brake light. Just a thought.

Crankshaft pulley - cast iron, steel or aluminum

I broke a cast pulley before....however, my own fault. The ratchet nut either did not get tightened properly or it backed off somehow before I noticed. Pulley slipped forward and busted the collar. Ended up causing an overheat and I spun a main as I have inserts, costly mistake. I replaced it...

1931 Victoria Right hand drive Tampa

I am just wondering if anyone knows of a bright green right hand drive ‘31 Victoria in or around the Tampa area. It would have a beige leather interior and top with dark drown wheels. It used to belong to my grandfather who unfortunately passed recently due to COVID and I would like to get into...

    Number two cylinder looks off...

I was thinking maybe rings...I replaced the head gasket due to an exhaust smell in th coolant and what seemed like a blown head gasket. I didn’t see the typical signs of a blown head gasket but could definitely smell the exhaust in thin coolant. I typically run distilled water and some sort of...

    Number two cylinder looks off...

Was changing the head gasket yesterday on the truck and I noticed the number cylinder didn’t look right. The other three are shiny and nice and all the cross hatching is still visible. However, the number two is dull and can no longer see any cross hatching. I don’t have the best pictures and I...

    Head Gaskets....

I’ve heard aboutbgreasing the gasket...can someone explain that to me? Does it let the gasket move a little before settling and sealing? Just seems strange to me...

    Head Gaskets....

Block and head are both dead flat as I had them both milled and checked multiple times just to be sure. I currently have a B style copper gasket with spray copper on t and it just doesn’t seem to be sealing. It’s totwued to 55 per pretty much all the advice out there and has been retorqued a...

    Head Gaskets....

I sure could use one of those old gaskets! I have a 6:1 head and it constantly blows head gaskets...talk about frustrating. I can barely drive the car these days because it just blows coolant out of the radiator (it’s a clean radiator)

    Headgasket

Synchro...never got anything from you just so you know. However, I guess I should have clarified, I need a Model B best graphtite head gasket...with the over sized intake valves on my A engine I've had issue with the clearance of the A gasket...

    engine pans

That's exactly where mine are! I used to run them but with constant maintenance these days they seem to be more of a hassle then they are worth...
