Jan I've just been through much the same grief with my phaeton. Went from two to one carb and all sorts. Finally nailed it down to plug length. I have fitted after market heads and old plugs were to short and not burning the gas. Don't know what your set up is but always taught that if misses...

Thanks Kerby. I think I've cracked it by just extending the fork by 1 1/2 inchs. Made a big difference and basic maths I suppose. Appreciate the feedback. Chris

Hi all. I've just fitted a 24 stud and later 39 box into my 32 (LHD) and find the clutch heavy with a short pedal action. I am using the 39 box clutch release shaft fork and suspect this is to short. Is there another fork I should be using or do I have to modify this one? (I also have a fordor...
