JayJay, My sense is the way to proceed is, install the repo bushings, remove the grease fitting and drill the bushings in place. Should there be a dowel inserted to support the bushing when drilling?

I am in the process of setting the carrier bearing preload, as I rebolted the axle on the banjo, I stripped one of the blind holes at the pinion. Will helicoil or a larger bolt work? All 19 other holes are ok.

I have a '31 T. S. with a CA preface engine number. Interior trim screws and some exterior screws are Robertson ( square hole ) head. I understand this car was built in Canada.

Can a speedo be rewound? Should it rollover to zero after 99,999? Mine is '31 round.

I am struggling with a leaking carb when bench testing per "old guy". I am suspecting the drain plug. T. Endy specs black gaskets, the ones I have are red. After the first test I added teflon tape to the plug threads, leaked again. Is there something I'm missing?
